As a child and a teenager I always enjoyed playing sport and ran for my
school in cross-country events in my teens. But early in my twenties I began
to notice that I did not feel as good as I should.
At the age of 25 I had what was diagnosed as a stress related
epileptic fit while visiting my brother in law in hospital. My wife and I
had been married 18 months and we had a 7-month-old baby.
This event had a drastic effect on my employment and prospects. My driving
licence was taken away for 2 years. I could not continue my window cleaning
business, as I could not get any public liability insurance. The medication
I was given made me feel detached and made concentrating for any length of
time very tiring. The next two years were spent struggling to manage on
benefits and the frustration of being unable to move forward with my life.
I learnt to avoid attacks when I recognised the symptoms of muscle cramping
and fatigue but this meant having a block of 3 or 4 days off for complete
rest. Employers and fellow workers did not understand this and I was often
labelled as a waster, which hurt as I really was trying to do my best, but I
used to just feel everything was such a mental & physical effort. I felt
constantly fatigued and used to wonder before I dragged my self out of bed
most mornings "If I feel like this now at 25, what will I feel like when I
am 40?"
In June 1987 I have had my driving licence back and I have been working as a
rep for a home appliance spares company for about six months. I was spending
my days driving around Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire calling on shops and
getting orders. By the time I got home I would feel exhausted, collapsing on
the settee falling asleep for while, eat dinner and then laze in front of
the TV till bedtime. With this life style I was steadily putting on weight
which I felt very self-conscious about.
I was trying to find something to
help me feel better and give me more get up and go. I thought eating healthy
food & getting supplements from the healthfood shop would be the answer, I
was always interested in articles that gave the latest health tip, but I
found that nothing I did made much if any real difference to me.
Then I found Herbalife.
One of my customers had a badge on LOSE WEIGHT NOW ASK ME HOW! I did and it
was one of the best things I have ever done.
Using Herbalife weight control program I lost 26lbs in 6 weeks!
That was great but the best thing was the energy and vitality that kicked in
after 3 to 4 days, I remember getting in to my car ready for work feeling
really well and thinking at last something that works!
After a few weeks I noticed that I had no warnings of fatigue or muscle
cramping and this continued 6 weeks, 12 weeks, after a year I had stopped my
medication by slowly reducing the dose according to the doctor's
recommendation.
I have now had my full driving licence back for over 10 years now. I no
longer have to worry about that problem.
I am now 50+ and have much more vitality and zest for life than I
did at 25. I am convinced that these wonderful nutritional products will go
on supporting my loved ones and I as long as we continue to use them, which
will be for me the rest of what I expect to be a long and healthy and
productive life.
